It's been almost a year since I went and seen the 1st Death Note movie (dubbed), and I think it was fall when I saw the 2nd one, also dubbed. The 1st one was playing the day before I was to leave for my yearly vacation in 2008, but I really liked going even though it caused me stress for packing ^__^
I went and seen the SUBTITLED version tonight of "Death Note 3, L-change the world" and I really liked it! I thought it was fun and wwwaaayyy better then the 2nd movie, by far! I would like to own all of them, but if not the others, I most certainly want this one!
Maybe it was because it was subbed?? I am temped to go to the April 30th Dubbed version just to see the differences...I even liked the previews cuz it had an add for Gackt's Red/Blue DVD collection and a movie that I saw advertised in Shojo Beat that is supposed to really good called "Happy Ever After" (I believe that is right), and of course it looks like anything but...and a few other Viz Media stuffs.
There were the extras after the show, the behind the scenes and making of. They had the
American voice-over actor (weird that) make an announcement and an "L" reenactment to talk about staying after the show for a chance to win the autograph of the
Japanese actor who played him. There would be a special code you would use at the the DN website to sign up. It was an in-joke for the movie which was cute. I tried to sign up, but it kept rejecting anything I did :(
They also showed some clips from the other movies, and when one of him eating a chocolate bar with the shiny wrapper still attached, someone yelled "Look, he got the last golden ticket!" Even I laughed at that one! Had to admit 'L' would LOVE Wonka Land!
(I usually ignore the 'comedians' that always seem to have something to say to the audience in movie theaters, you know the guy or the guy in 'that' group that loves to play to the crowd...)
Maybe I will try entering later :)
I was hoping they would keep him alive with some loop hole, but no go...Still love 'L' though! I will have to finish all of the manga some day too, LOL!
Goodbye 'L' and I bet your heaven is full of sugar plums and chocolate rivers, and that you can eat everything you see! Willy Wonka be praised!
